Alzheimer's Society Side by Side Service

The Alzheimer's Society 'Side by Side' Service is a fun, friendly, flexible volunteering opportunity which matches you with someone living with dementia so that you can help them to keep doing the things they love and try something new too.

An estimated 4,500 people are living with dementia in Bristol, why not volunteer in your area and help us to ensure people in Bristol live well with dementia.

What's involved?

You’ll be paired with a person living with dementia according to your interests and hobbies. Together you can take part in a variety of activities from joining a local club; visiting museums; going to the football, or for a stroll in the park. Maybe you’ll go for a coffee in a local cafe or enjoy a catch-up at home.

Why get involved?

You’ll be providing your matched person with company and freedom, and you’ll help them to stay active, and stay positive.
