Bristol Nightstop Looking for Volunteers

Nightstop prevents homelessness through community hosting. It helps people who are in immediate housing crisis by providing free, safe, emergency accommodation in the homes of trained and vetted volunteers called ‘Hosts’. We support young people aged 18-25 by offering them Nightstop accommodation on a minimum three-night basis whilst appropriate longer-term accommodation is sought. You can find out more about the Nightstop Service on our website

Caring in Bristol have been running this service for over 7 years however due to Covid-19, some of our volunteers are no longer able to host.

What's involved?

Using a network of volunteer hosts who open up their spare room for a few nights each month, Bristol Nightstop provides safe temporary accommodation for young people facing homelessness.

Nightstop hosts are ordinary Bristolians doing something extraordinary – offering a warm room to stay in their own home, an evening meal, breakfast, support and compassion.
